Honestly, I’m looking for a peace of mind. Relaxing attitude, someone who can reach the peace and tranquility; to enjoy hiking along the coast, take in the sights, want to learn more about Marine biology and enjoy each other’s company with conversation and exploration.
Not looking for that party life or hardcore enthusiast who wants to rough it all the time, not looking to set any world records and not looking for ultimate fitness. Trust me ladies, you’re an example of what I’d like to be again, but I know me. I am not going to get there as I was in my 20’s until I retire.
Someone who has the same outlook on taking it slow. I’m a widower. Lot of memories there, but I’ve put most of my craziness and memories behind me. My friends urged me to break out of my shell and see what the dating life can be like. However, I’m looking for that someone who shares the same views, hopefully not the same experience but if you did then you know what it’s like to lose that special part abruptly.
I socially drink, I do vape and am not averse to marijuana just don’t go out of my way to chase a high. I’m not into wild bar scenes and all that. A cigar lounge maybe, perhaps something low key and local. Not loud music and night life.
I enjoy waking up to nature. Drinking coffee or sweet tea, eat as healthy as I can but I do love life and food. I’m adventurous and don’t like to sit around all the time but don’t mind a Netflix marathon.
Kind of a nerd. Yeah, in the sense that I can sit down for a campaign of DND or not. Lord of the Rings? Yes Ma’am. Marvel and DC? I can take it or leave it, but I don’t mind. Anime and Cosplay/Conventions? I’ve worked them in my younger years. I don’t mind it, if that’s your thing then bring me into your world. I’m very open minded. Video games? Eh, I like watching others play them. I may engage here and there but it’s not really that important to me. I wouldn’t mind some Mario Kart or Banjo Kazooie if you’re into N64’s or a streamer.
I’m not very talkative to a certain point. Generally, I’m pleasant but everyone has their days. Know when to get left alone and leave others but being in their presence is a comforting feeling. Pretty big on that, actually.
I enjoy deep thought-provoking conversations that require back and forth, mundane stuff can and likely will bore me. Bring on the tough topics or even out of this world topics. Let’s get political and let’s talk about climate change, let’s debate and even talk about Aliens. Give me your views on why our Laws are made for stupid and give me your reasons on why interstellar travel is less than hypothetical.
We can range from silly topics to serious, ambitions you have to what power you’d want as a superhero. Maybe you’re the villain? A gray Jedi? Let’s talk about that.
Let’s go whale watching, scuba diving, get brazen and swim across the channel to a deserted island that says keep out. Let’s push the limits of safety or convince me why we shouldn’t do what that sign says we shouldn’t.
Let’s sit out under the stars drinking something warm, roast some marshmallows over a fire and laugh as I try to figure out which end a stick goes to roast some salmon. Trout. Or any fish.
Dare to try something we both wouldn’t ever do. Eat what we wouldn’t eat. Take calculated risks and plunge into the unknown. Let’s be real and let’s be friends. See what develops beyond that.
Take off your make up, don’t hide behind some weird female clothing line that gives you extra blossom, butt or a “sleeker” look. Just come as you are as you’re reading this. All I ask for if what I see, is what I get. Give me that type of mentality.
Don’t give me a fake persona. Don’t be afraid to lead the conversation. Don’t be afraid to be yourself. We’re both human, we’ve both lived this far. We have a pretty good idea of what we want. Don’t settle for less.
