Avid hiker, backpacker looking to share life’s ongoing adventure with a kindred spirit, one who is kind, thoughtful, humorous, passionate and ever curious about this magical world we are blessed to inhabit.

Left of center politically, I’d like to think my friends would say I’m a kind, generous & thoughtful fellow with a good and/or offbeat sense of humor. I consider myself spiritual rather than religious and embrace the belief systems of indigenous cultures who do not have a word for "nature" in the conventional "western" sense; rather all living things - be they two-legged, four-legged, creepy crawly, winged, aquatic or plants - are equally interconnected.

I've hiked/backpacked throughout Rockies, Cascades and Southwest as well as closer to home in PA, WVA, VA, NY and New England. Also enjoy snowshoeing, cycling and have done some kayaking, although I'm a far cry from being an expert.

As a semi-retired free lance motorsports writer I still do a bit of work when it suits me and have traveled to every continent but Africa and Antarctica. I'm a voracious reader and I love most kinds of music Dylan to Dionne Warwick, Debussy to Miles Davis, Steely Dan to Jimmie Dale Gilmore.

I’m a widower with 2 kids and 2 grandkids (age 2 & 4) who I adore. That said, will consider relocating if the spirit moves me.
