Nature has always been my recharge…. I work hard In a stressful career that I love, but stressful none the less. There are plenty of unhealthy ways to cope. I choose a healthier path. I try to go somewhere new every weekend. I’ll hop in my truck on Friday early afternoon and drive for 6 hours to get somewhere amazing. I drop a pin on a map, if it’s worth a longer stay, I’ll plan a longer trip and eventually come back.
I camped in Anza-Borego during the super bloom, 6 weekends in a row and then when to Death Valley for 10 days.
This past winter I snow camped in the Grand Canyon, then went to Paige, Monuments, Valley of the Gods, Bridges, Moab, Arches, Grand Escalante and Zion on one trip. This weekend camping on the back side of Catalina with the buffalo on the beach, hiking, scuba diving and kayaking. I want to see as much as possible before this short life is over.
