I am a native Floridian and am still amazed at all the untouched wild places in this state. Everyone's had challenges from one degree or more. Sometimes it seems I attract scars. But I've had a great family and others in my life so that nothing holds me back from backpacking. I am still as an intermediate in backpacking, and I am planning my first thru hike, being the Florida Scenic Trail. I am planning to start at Big Cypress this first or second week of January 2024. It would be so great to have a lady who is kind, accepting, and even gritty to join me by my side, even as I am by her side. That's six months to get to know each other, by trade I am a writer- which means I'm a starving poet, and family really means a lot to me. I would really like to share this trail experience with a brave, humorous young lady that could be a connection that could go well beyond.
