Outdoorsy Canadian Viking looking for an adventure partner. I was married for 13 years until about 18 months ago, so I’m not looking to rush into anything, but I am open to taking things slow and seeing where they end up.
Like I said I’m very outdoorsy, so if you you enjoy camp fires, hiking, backpacking, canoeing, fishing, hunting, etc…, we’ll get along great. I also practiceTurkish traditional archery as a martial art. I’m also very handy. I’ve been a working man my whole life and building things is what I do. I’ve been a canoe builder, knife maker, carpenter, miner, and welder/fabricator. I’m currently building a tiny home in my spare time.
I’m not one dimensional though. I have an IQ of 145 (or at least I did back in the day 😅). I enjoy intellectual stimulation. I like reading - history, a little poetry, and spirituality. I used to fancy myself a bit of a writer and poet, and I’ve been dusting the cobwebs off that part of my psyche lately. I’m big into podcasts that discuss philosophy, history, and current affairs, as well as a variety of outdoor topics. I consider stimulating and lively conversation a must for a healthy relationship. I meditate and practice self care. I work out regularly, I’m gluten free, and eat mostly keto.
I don’t mind going out a little, but I don’t drink anymore, though I do dance. I have a husky cross who is my best bud. I share custody of my two kids (11+ 13).
I’m not one dimensional and I DO NOT fit into a binary conception of reality. I’m an independent thinker, I make up my own mind and I do not allow political parties, ideologies, or religions do my thinking for me. If you are looking for a person whose primary goal is trying to fit into a niche, clique, or tribe, I’m not your guy. Also, I’m intelligent, intellectual, AND physical. Looking for the same.
